THERAPEUTIC HORSEBACK RIDING OR EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY

Therapeutic horse riding improves emotional and physical abilities thanks  to the quantity of stimuli occurring in the horse/rider interaction.

  Only horses particularly suited for this activity must be used (as animals who are sick, lame, stiff, too big, too small, too nervous, too lazy, too young or too old are no help and can even be counter productive).

A special tack room is needed but the rider is not required to wear special clothes apart from  a riding helmet and correct footwear for safety reasons because the activity is therapeutic and not competitive.
